Editorial Standards & Integrity Policy
PolySharks is an analytics and research platform. This page documents how we source data, what we will and will not publish, and how we handle errors. Last updated: May 17, 2026.
1. What we publish
We publish positioning signals: descriptive observations about where the most active wallets on Polymarket and Kalshi are placing capital, derived from public on-chain order data and exchange APIs.
- Real-time public wallet activity
- Whale consensus aggregations
- Historical track-record of consensus calls (verifiable)
- Macro context (oil, gold, yields) with descriptive history
- News-velocity signals from public sources
- Educational explainers and methodology
- Trading recommendations or "picks"
- Guaranteed-outcome claims
- Compensated promotions of any market
- Sportsbook or exchange affiliate offers
- Earnings or profit projections
- Sponsored content disguised as analysis
2. Conflict of interest policy
- We do not receive compensation from Polymarket, Kalshi, or any other prediction-market exchange.
- We do not accept paid placements for specific markets, events, or wallets.
- Founders and operators may hold personal positions on prediction markets. Any such positions are personal research, not endorsements, and are disclosed when relevant.
- The only revenue source is user subscriptions (Pro plan) and our optional referral program for users (transparently disclosed).
3. Data sourcing & verification
All data on PolySharks comes from public, verifiable sources:
- Polymarket — public Gamma + CLOB APIs (on-chain order activity)
- Kalshi — public trade-API endpoints (regulated CFTC-licensed exchange)
- CoinGecko — public crypto price feed
- Yahoo Finance — public commodity, FX, and yield data
- GDELT 2.0 — public global news event database
- TradingView widgets — embedded free public widgets only
No data is sourced from logged-in third-party accounts, scraped private content, or paid data feeds. Our full methodology is documented at /methodology.
4. How consensus and signals are calculated
The "Whale Consensus" signal aggregates currently-held positions across the top 50 wallets (ranked by realized PnL) and groups them by (market, outcome). Markets where 3 or more independent wallets hold the same side, with a combined notional above $25,000, are surfaced as consensus signals.
The historical track record at /receipts lists every consensus signal we have ever generated alongside its eventual resolution. We publish wins and losses. This is the entire transparency proposition of the platform.
Known biases we acknowledge: survivorship (wallets in our top-50 set are selected on past PnL); latency (our data refreshes every 60 seconds, not in real time); resolution timing (some markets resolve days after a signal fires).
5. Corrections & errata
If we publish data that turns out to be incorrect (e.g., a misclassified wallet, a market labeled with the wrong outcome, a methodology bug in score calculation), we will:
- Fix the error at source within 24 hours of confirming it.
- Note the correction in our public changelog (when material).
- Notify users by email if the error materially affected a published consensus call or weekly report.
To report a suspected error, email [email protected] with the page URL and a brief description.
6. What this platform is not
- Not a brokerage, exchange, or trading venue. PolySharks does not custody funds or execute trades on a user's behalf.
- Not financial, investment, or legal advice. Nothing on this site constitutes a recommendation to wager, trade, buy, or sell any asset or market position.
- Not regulated by the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, or any other financial regulator — because we do not engage in regulated activity. Polymarket and Kalshi each have their own regulatory status; users are responsible for compliance with local laws.
- Not appropriate for users under 18. Age verification is required to access the dashboard.
